Minecraft

If you would like to improve upon the default Minecraft experience, you can increase RAM on your game client and/or install Shaders and Resource Packs.

Increase default RAM (2GB):

Open Minecraft Launcher.

Click the Installations tab.

Mouse over the version > select the ellipse (...) > Edit

Select More Options.

You will see the following in the JVM Arguments:

• "-Xmx2G"

This means you have 2GB Ram for Minecraft by default. e.g. "-Xmx4G" will give Minecraft 4GB RAM.

Save.

OptiFine: Download (Run the downloaded file to install Optifine.)

Resource pack: CreatorPack Download

Shaders: BSL Shaders Download

How to install Resource Pack and Shaders (Requires OptiFine):

• Download OptiFine
• Run the downloaded file to install OptiFine.
• Download the Resource Pack and Shader zip files.
• Launch Minecraft.
• Play Minecraft 1.20.1.
• Select Options...
• Select Resource packs...
• Select Open Pack Folder.
• In the new File Explorer window, select Downloads from the Quick Access list.
• Select the downloaded Resource Pack > Right Click > Cut.
• Hit the Back button to go back to the resourcepacks folder.
• Paste the Resource Pack zip file and close the window.
• The Resource Pack is now in the Available List. Select the Arrow icon to move it to the Selected list.
• Select Done.
• Select the Video Settings button.
• Select the Shaders... button.
• Select the Shaders Folder button.
• In the new File Explorer window, select Downloads from the Quick Access list.
• Select the downloaded Shader zip > Right Click > Cut.
• Hit the Back button to go back to the Shaders folder.
• Paste the Shader zip file and close the window.
• Select the Shaders you just added from the list and wait for it to load.
• Select Done three times.
• Select Multiplayer to log into a server.
• Select the Add Server button
• Edit the Server Name e.g."Aincrad"
• Server Address: minecraft.LionTurtl3Gaming.com
• Select Done.
• You should should now see and be able to connect to the server!
• You must be granted access by reaching out to me or you will see a whitelist blocked error.
